The author has examined 80 people of 18–27 years of age with brain injury in medical background. The article shows the rate of post-traumatic cerebral atrophy (PCA) of different types among recruits in Penza region. Interdependence between category of recruit’s suitability to military service and the data of brain computer to-mography has been assessed by the experts. The conclusion is that the type and the degree of PCA manifestation depend mostly on severity of brain injury.
